Nursing Clinical Excellence Award 2021

This award is open to full time regular employed Registered Nurses with at least 6 months of tenure, who demonstrates OUTSTANDING & DISTINGUSHED ACHIEVEMENT in the following:

  • commitment to culture of quality and safety
  • contribution to a specific area of clinical practice
  • embracing change as an opportunity for professional growth and learning
  • providing leadership to others with respect to issues and trends in nursing practice
  • demonstrates extent of knowledge in area of clinical nursing practice.
  • comply to nursing practice standards that contribute to quality patient care.
  • enhances the image of nursing through nursing practice.
  • participates in institutional activities, community affairs, or organizations that affect nursing practice.

 

Nursing Leadership Awards 2021

 

This award is open to full time regular employed Registered Nurses who exemplifies LEADERSHIP in nursing. He or she must:

  • Consistently show leadership in changing the culture of health care delivery in their unit/ department
  • Show commitment to staff development and professional practice
  • Contribute to the advocacy in uplifting the image of nursing and professional practice
  • Establish good working collaboration inside and outside the division.
  • Act in the capacity of change agent who:
    1. sustain and evaluate the operational plan.
    2. implement strategies of key projects.

Exemplary Professional Practice

The nominee must demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the role of nursing; the application of that role with patients, families, communities, and the interdisciplinary team; and the application of new knowledge and evidence.

Empirical Outcome

The nominee must demonstrate effective strategies related to clinical outcomes related to nursing; workforce outcomes; patient and consumer outcomes; and organizational outcomes.

New Knowledge, Innovation & Improvements

The nominee must have contribution to patient care, the organization, and the profession in terms of new knowledge, innovations, and improvements.

Structural Empowerment

The nominee is known to provide an innovative environment where strong professional practice flourishes and where the mission, vision, and values come to life to achieve the outcomes believed to be important for the organization.

Transformational Leadership

The nominee was able to lead people to where they need to be in order to meet the demands of the future by having a vision, influence, clinical knowledge, and a strong expertise relating to professional nursing practice.

Nurse Team Award 2021

 

This award is for nursing units who demonstrate an exceptional teamwork to sustain safe and excellent patient care.  All members of the team must demonstrate:

  • commitment to evidenced based practices and family-centered care
  • develop creative and innovative strategies to integrate education, and practice.
  • demonstrate excellence in functioning as a team
  • contribute to the development of others within and outside of the team
  • control and management in their respective clinical and operational performance indicators (Medication error, Bedsore prevalence, fall, safety related incidences, hand hygiene compliance) 

 

Evaluation is based on date on managerial, clinical and operation performance.
